Kai Wong , MA, Director, Systems Strategies
Kai Wong is Director of System Strategies for the AmeriChoice MSO. A seasoned healthcare professional with over 17 years of experience, Mr. Wong has extensive knowledge and consulting experience working in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of publicly funded medical, behavioral, developmental disabilities, and child welfare programs. Specifically, he specializes in reimbursement methodologies for Medicaid covered services, policy consulting, program evaluation, cost-benefit analysis, data modeling techniques, early warning systems, decision support application, and health services outcome research for Medicaid populations. Prior to joining AmeriChoice, Mr. Wong served as a Senior Associate in the Government Human Services Sector of a large national consulting firm where he was involved in numerous Medicaid program redesign initiatives. These initiatives included Medicaid capitation rate setting, waiver development, budget modeling, cost effectiveness studies, performance-based contracting, and process and outcome evaluation. Mr. Wong holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Psychology and a Master of Arts in Psychological Counseling from Southeast Missouri State University.
