Through our strategic alliance with Johnston, Villegas-Grubbs and Associates, the AmeriChoice MSO Health Strategies Consulting team assisted in conducting a program evaluation of budget allocation methodologies in Medicaid Mental Retardation and Related Conditions (MR/RC) Waiver programs for the State of Minnesota. The program evaluation consisted of gaining an in-depth understanding of the delivery of supports to individuals with developmental disabilities in Minnesota; and developing a new resource allocation methodology that distributes resources in a more appropriate and consistent manner. Additionally, the project included a thorough investigation of the operations of the Medicaid Waiver itself, in order to determine compliance and, more importantly, to evaluate whether the full potential of the waiver was being realized and all funding opportunities are being captured.
