Over the past 21 years, AmeriChoice MSO has also provided financial management, claims processing and payment and financial reporting services for the Ryan White HIV/AIDS program in the County of San Diego. For the County of San Diego, Ryan White CARE Act funds are allocated into three separate pools:

• Title I Medical and Pharmacy
• Title I Dental
• Title II Medical and Pharmacy

AmeriChoice MSO manages the funds within each of these pools and in this capacity is responsible for working with the County to establish appropriate reimbursement rates for services. AmeriChoice MSO also obtains, reviews and processes claims and ensures that payments are made to the providers in a timely and accurate manner. For each of the three funding pools, AmeriChoice tracks and monitors utilization and financial status and produces monthly reports that are shared with the County HIV/AIDS team and other key stakeholders. These reports also contain recommendations for strategies that the County adopts if there is a possibility that program funding may not be adequate to meet claims projections.
